Bookbinder House

Reconfiguration and partial new development

Originally constructed in 1905 by the Bristol Co-operative Society as a retail unit with meeting room at first floor level and latterly home to Alfred Harris bookbinders.

We were engaged to gain planning consent for the alteration and conversion of the upper floors and basement into high quality residential accommodation whist retaining the ground floor as a commercial space.

We achieved approval to insert an additional floor level and mezzanines whilst retaining the original feature trusses within the space.

The ground floor is now our studio space.
